Outdoor Recreation Leaders
Surf & Kayaking Instructors (Tathra NSW)

We are looking for people to help us expand our outdoor recreation buisness on the far south coast of NSW. Employment opportunities avaliable for coastal expeditions, base camp programs, learn to surf school and kayak tours. Coastlife Adventures is a private company providing experiences for schools, community groups and general public. Positions are casual depending on individual circumstances avaliable from November 2009 to July 2010.

Key duties

Outdoor Rec Leaders -  Responsible for the delivery of residential and non residental outdoor recreation programs on the far south coast of NSW. Programs involve crossing estuaries, bushwalking, initiatives, swimming in coastal waters, and other residential outdoor recreation activities.  

Surf Instructors - delivery of learn to surf programs. 

Kayak instructors -  delivery of kayak tours on Sit on Top kayaks in coastal waters.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential for all positions
Senior First Aid or remote first aid cert
Surf Bronze or equivalent (or willing to get)
Working with Children check (NSW)

Outdoor Recreation Leaders specifics: A personal passion for working with people in a coastal environment and knowledge of coastal processes. Experience in Group leading and skill instructing. Group facilitation experience. The ability to apply risk management processes and manage student groups. Cert III or IV in Outdoor Recreation Field. Experience in any of the following activities: bushwalking, camping, navigation, canoeing, team initiatives
Learn to Surf Instructors specifics: Level One Surfing Coach
Kayak Instructors specifics: Coastal Guide or equivalent (AC)

Salary range:  Casual Rates
Term of employment: Casual appointments. All applications remain current for 12 months.
