PRIMARY SCHOOL CAMPS

Primary school camps are often the first time youngsters have left the comfort and support of their home. With this in mind each Coastlife Adventures primary program is carefully tailored to match the skill level and stamina of the specific age group.
Environmental education and important ocean safety messages are interwoven into creative outdoor activities at the beach, accommodation site and in the surrounding national parks.
PROGRAM INCLUSIONS:
Accommodation – Modern cabin accommodation is provided at a beachside location or in a peaceful bush setting.
Catering – Fresh and nutritious home-style meals are served from breakfast through to supper time. All meals are nut sensitive and separate menus are prepared for students with special dietary needs.
Transport – All transport requirements are organised by Coastlife Adventures. This includes return seat-belted coach transport between school and the camp location, plus all local transport needs.
Activities – Exciting outdoor activities including canoeing, team building challenges, beach carnivals, archery, marine bio-diversity studies and coastal discovery bushwalks are facilitated by experienced outdoor education leaders. An ocean safety program presented at a local surf lifesaving club is a valuable component of most primary school camps.

SECONDARY SCHOOL CAMPS
Secondary School Camps range from year 7 orientation programs to ocean skills camps and leadership courses.
Coastlife Adventures work closely with the organising teacher to develop an experience that engages all participants and delivers the desired curriculum outcomes. Each multi-day program aims to strengthen teamwork and social bonds, teach outdoor recreation skills and reconnect students to the natural world.
PROGRAM INCLUSIONS:
Accommodation – A variety of accommodation options are available ranging from coastal camping in a national park, to simple bush huts or luxury cabin complexes. Many schools choose a combination of venues to maximise the outdoor experience for their students. In this situation students spend time at a base camp sleeping in cabins and one or more nights camping out in a nearby national park.
Catering – The Coastlife Catering Manager develops each program menu to match the style of camp. Camp oven feasts, gourmet barbeques and trangia meals are prepared for groups camping out. Delicious, healthy home-style meals are prepared and served at the cabin accommodation venues. All meals are prepared with fresh ingredients and are nut sensitive. Care is taken to prepare separate menus for students with special dietary needs.
Transport – All transport requirements are organised by Coastlife Adventures. This includes return seat-belted coach transport between school and the camp location, plus all local transport needs.

JOURNEY-BASED EXPEDITIONSS
Journey based camp programs are facilitated within the spectacular national parks of the south coast of New South Wales. Over several days students move from point A to point B whilst participating in different activities and camping at numerous locations. Journey based expeditions are designed to test resilience, bolster independence and teach the importance of a cooperative endeavour. Students are removed from the comforts and distractions of their normal life and forced to connect to natural world. This total emersion means learning situations become simplified and the links between actions and consequences are clearer and far more meaningful.
