Surf Skills Programs

Coastlife Adventures is a privately owned Outdoor Education and Recreational Business established to provide safe, quality experiences to a large range of groups. The Surf Skills Camps are specifically designed for senior students completing Outdoor Education Programs with their schools or colleges. We are based on the far south coast of New South Wales.

Program Options

Coastlife has developed 3 main surf related programs to suit the varying curriculum needs and interests of senior schools and colleges. They include.

Surf Development Camp – This camp provides 5 surfing sessions over 3 days. This intensive program centres on individual skill progression, specific surf fitness, and development of surf awareness skills and experience. The final days session often involves a social surf competition based on lots of fun and prizes. Surfing skills and confidence progress dramatically on this program.

Multi Sea Sport Camp – This course provides a solid introduction to a number of ocean sports. The program begins with our lifeguards at the local surf club. Students are introduced to surf awareness concepts such as rips, wave types and how to read conditions. They are then instructed on the use of various surf craft skills ( eg body surfing, surf skis ) The activity sessions to follow include Malibu Surf Lessons, Snorkelling and Ocean Kayaking.

Surf Survival Certificate – This 3 day program provides students with a formal qualification from Surf Lifesaving Australia. The group works through a number of set tasks with our certified instructors over 3 half day sessions. These include beach first aid, surf rescues, surf awareness principles, and a fitness component. (run swim run) The final morning involves assessment and certificate presentation.
A “Learn to Surf Lesson”, is often timetabled on the middle day.
